As the start date for my sixth internship approaches, I went ahead and bought another pair of Frye Carson Gore ballet flats to prepare. Now I know that the brand Frye is not something a college student would typically have the money for in her budget, but hang with me for one second. These ultra-comfortable, pure leather, internship-worthy shoes are worth every penny and they cost $38.99. How did I score these for such a low price?
Head to 6pm.com
6pm offers discounted fashion by selling last year's styles at a lower cost. This was my second time shopping on this site and I was once again impressed by how quickly my shoes arrived, especially since I ordered them the week before Christmas. You cannot beat a price that is under $40 for Frye shoes, so I highly recommend shopping from this site. They always have Frye shoes in stock and this particular style is also always available so you can grab a pair for yourself!
Meet Leather, Your New Best Friend
I used to dread flats because the synthetic lining meant my feet were going to sweat and that I would absolutely earn another battle wound on the backs of my heels from my cheap shoes slicing into me. Not with these boys! The lining and the insole are made of leather so your feet will not sweat in these, even after you chase down buses to make it to your internship on time.
If you have any experience with other shoes that are made by Frye, you'll know that most of them have leather outsoles, and you've probably wiped out in them before, because they turn into ice skates anytime they meet a smooth surface. You're safe walking on any surface with these flats though, thanks to their rubber outsoles, so no embarrassing slips and falls for you.
I opted to go a half size bigger when purchasing this second pair of flats, which earned my toes some more space. If you're seeking an investment pair of shoes that will accompany on your trudge to your internships, this is the pair you need.
