Clicking with Clinique

Updated: Jan 30, 2020

I was browsing Nordstrom's site after the holidays because almost every blogger I follow was spitting out news about the sale, and since I rarely shop from Nordstrom, I though I'd give it a look. Immediately, I noticed a limited edition Clinique Twinkle Trio Eye + Cheek Palette Set. It was only $21 and free shipping never hinders me, so I went ahead and ordered it. Now get a peek of the palettes for yourself!

These palettes are so fun to look at in person because the lids are made out of piles of packed down glitter. To answer your question, no, the glitter does not come off of the palette. Although you can feel the texture of the glitter, none of it came off after I tried scratching at it. A+ on the packaging Clinique!

Inside of each palette is a mirror that runs the full length of the lid, which is great for a girl on the go.

The quality of each palette really surprised me. The colors not only fit well together, but they also all blend out easily. After a sometimes 18 hour day, my eyeshadow will still be in place. I should mention that every single color is a micro-shimmer and not a matte formula, however, I think this contributes to the ease of blending each color out. I am really happy I found a set of palettes that work well with my very light coloring and stay on all day for a work-appropriate/everyday eyeshadow look. In the future, I'm game for trying out more Clinique products because they've definitely won my approval.

Here's a peek at the inside of each palette. From left to right is Icy Violets, Tinsel Blush, and Twilight Taupe.
